During this two day program, children will learn tales about manatees and sea turtles. They will learn adaptations, manatee and sea turtle ecology, sea turtle migrations, and so much more. We will actively discuss life in the oceans around us, the impact of climate change, and how to be a good ocean steward. Children will spend part of each day on the beach and /or in the water (up to the knees only). This program is multi-sensory and filled with a combination of hands-on nature exploration, science discoveries, physical movement, art and so much more.
Instructor, KC Bloom is the coordinator of the Recreation Management concentration and a faculty member at Salem State University. KC has taught numerous nature related courses, worked in state parks and spends as much time in the woods or on the ocean as possible with her family.
Children must turn 4 years old prior to the start of the program.
Children should bring a snack, water bottle, bagged lunch each day.
