During this four day program, children will learn about sharks and seals within our ocean. They will discover why sharks are now omnipresent, shark and seal ecology and adaptations, life cycles, and so much more. We will discuss life in the oceans around us, the impact of climate change, and how to be good ocean stewards. Children will spend part of each day on the beach and/ in the water (up to the knees only). Every program is multi-sensory and filled with a combination of hand-on nature exploration, science discoveries, physical movement, art and more.
Instructor, KC Bloom is the coordinator of the Recreation Management concentration and a faculty member at Salem State University. KC has taught numerous nature related courses, worked in state parks and spends as much time in the woods or on the ocean as possible with her family.
Children must turn 4 years old prior to the start of the program.
Children should bring a snack, water bottle, bagged lunch each day.
