Kids Bike Safety Series

For this on-bike series for kids, Mass Bike will cover the basics of safe riding skills, teaching the power pedal, stopping, steering, shifting, hand signals, and looking back while riding. For advanced riders, they'll suggest a course to ride on the bike lanes and paths of Salem, and for learn-to-riders they'll have a closed parking lot available to practice drills without the concerns of traffic.
Participants will need a working bicycle, helmet, and appropriate clothing such as close-toe- shoes.
Date and time: Saturday September 17th and Sunday, September 18th from 10:00am-11:00am
(Rain date: Saturday, September 24th and Sunday, September 25th)
Location: Salem Community Life Center, in the parking lot.
Ages: Children ages 6-10 years old. A parent/guardian must be present for the duration of the program sessions.
This is a free program for Salem Residents.
