Acts of Kindness Challenge
"If I cannot do great things, I will do small things in a great way." - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we challenge Salem residents to practice random acts of kindness with our Salem Kindness Challenge!

Monday, January 9th - Friday, January 20th. 

Send us a picture of your act(s) of kindness to be featured, and fill our Facebook page with kindness.
Send pictures to crobitaille@salem.com 

Pictures will be posted on Facebook at Salem, Park, Recreation and Community Services. 


Need inspiration? Try any of these ideas!
- Donate gently used clothing to a local second-hand store.
- Pick up and throw out trash you find outdoors.
- Hold the door for the person behind you.
- Call a loved one, just to see how they are doing.


Remember, no act of kindness is too small! 

While the challenge is scheduled for 2 weeks, we encourage you to practice acts of kindness all year long!
