Derby Street Mile
The Derby Street Mile is back!
Join Salem Park, Recreation and Community Services for the 21st Annual Derby Street Mile Road Race. This fun, family driven event will take place on Friday, August 14th.
The race will begin on Fort Ave. near the Cat Cove Marina and run straight up Derby Street ending near the Salem Maritime Site.
New this year, the Derby Street Mile will be one race that steps off at 7:00pm. Competitive runners will be asked to line up first, followed by families that want to move at a slower pace.
Special thanks to The Salem Harbor Station for their full sponsorship of this race. All proceeds from the race will be allocated to the Park, Recreation and Community Services Department.
Trophy to the top male and female finishers in the competitive race. Age group awards for the top 3 male/female finishers in the following divisions: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+in the competitive race. All children under the age of 12 will receive medals.
Tee shirts to the first 100 registrants. Tee shirts and bibs will be available to pick up at the Community Life Center, 401 Bridge St. on Thursday, August 13th from 3:00-6:00pm or at the race start.
